Our obsession with Virgin Valley Opal began over 25 years ago with a trip with my brother, who after a visit with his rock club said we needed to go.  We visited the Royal Peacock Mine for the weekend and I discovered I loved the treasure hunt!  As a bonus I could find these amazing treasures in the dirt!  We came back many times after to feed our opal addiction, visiting the Rainbow Ridge Mine as well. Collecting and sharing with the family got us all involved and interested and we expanded our adventures. We became shareholders at the Bonanza Opal Mine and that is the primary place that we mine and collect our specimens.

As a very lucky person and a relentless digger, I soon collected so much material that we felt a need to share and sell these beauties.  Thus began WoodnOpal Enterprises, our business.  

You may see us at a few shows in Denver and Arizona and online for sure, as we are educating enthusiasts and sharing these unique treasures with the world.
